Overview
Open Horizons Learning Support is a private tutoring practice in the UAE, founded to bring research-backed teaching methods to one-to-one sessions. Drawing on over a decade of classroom experience across British, American, and IB curricula, the practice works with students from KG1 to Year 8 at leading international schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Sessions are built on learning science - Rosenshine's Principles of Instruction, cognitive load theory, and Hattie's visible learning research - translated into structured retrieval practice, carefully sequenced content, and continuous assessment that shows students and parents exactly where progress is happening.
Strategy
The brief called for a formal, trustworthy look befitting an educator working with international schools, paired with warmth that keeps the practice from feeling academic or cold. The mark answers both: a book opening outward whose pages form a horizon, with sun rays radiating above. The logo animation brings the metaphor to life - the book unfolds and the rays emerge - reinforcing the brand's promise of widened perspective and new possibilities.
